Yoga is a more than 5,000-year-old practice. The word ‘yoga’ derives from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘to yoke’ or ‘to join’. The practice of yoga brings body, mind, and spirit into alignment. As we align the body, mind, and spirit, we can experience: - Release of stress and tension
- Calmness, mental clarity, and improved concentration
- Improved muscle tone and flexibility
- Healthier circulation
- Improved quality of sleep
- Relief from minor aches and easing of joint pain
- Better posture
- More energy, stamina, and self-discipline
- Greater self awareness

Be prepared to learn about yourself and your body and to gain an awareness of how to better take care of yourself. With regular practice, you will soon find you feel better (even if you think you felt good to begin with) in both your body and your mind. Yoga clears the mind, frees the body of tension you may not even be aware you are carrying around with you. It improves the quality of your sleep. It can make work more enjoyable (yes, it really can!), and improve the overall experience and enjoyment of your life! Yoga increases a person’s ability to be patient, and has been proven to lower blood pressure. |
